Hi! I'm Sarah, a birth and family photographer and videographer.

I’m a mother of four, a Utah birth photographer, and a doula who believes birth deserves to be remembered — not perfectly, but honestly.

My goal isn’t simply beautiful photographs; it’s preserving the beginning of your child’s story while allowing you to stay fully present in it.

I’m available for births and families in Salt Lake County and Utah County.

Why Birth Photography?

Sarah met with us and we felt this instant connection. After looking at her portfolio, we knew that we needed her to document our birth story of meeting little Asher. She kept constant communication with us as soon as she went on call. We kept her up-to-date on appointments and what our providers were saying to us. When it came time to go to the birth center, we called Sarah and she got there soon after talking. She was a constant, calming presence in the room and we barely noticed the flash or her moving around to get the best shot. We had complete confidence in her and we were not disappointed when she finally sent some sneak peeks of the moment our son was born. We shed tears together looking through the final images when she had finished. Her images and captures took us back to those challenging, but bonding, moments together, and we were reminded of the incredible feelings we felt when Sophie pushed Asher out and he was brought to her chest.

Steps to take with your Utah birth photographer

Make a list of all the memories you want to have documented at your birth. I’ve got lots of great ideas and I’ll be there to watch every moment, but if there are shots you want to make sure you don’t miss, I want to know about them!
Schedule a free consultation with me.
Decide that you can’t live without me at your birth (yay!), sign a contract and pay a 20% deposit.
Rest and prep for your birth, making payments along the way (if you sign up for a payment plan). Make sure payments are complete by 37 weeks!
Communicate with me in the early stages of labor. I love celebrating your progress and being aware of every important moment leading up to when you call me to be there.
I’ll come to your birth place and capture your beautiful experience.
Cry and cry over the beautiful sneak peeks I send 24 hours after you just gave birth.
Gush over the images I send 2 weeks after the birth (or 2 weeks after your final payment is received), knowing full well you’ll never birth another child again without me there documenting everything!

My partner doesn't see the value in having photos of my birth:

Men who see themselves as a participant in their child's birth supporting the child's mom will improve the relationship with their partner and with their new child. Men will also be less prone to postpartum mood disorders as well as their significant other. Many past clients' partners have had amazing experiences with me as the photographer and are so grateful for those priceless images they now have from that special day.
